Information & Referral
UCP offers information and referral services on cerebral palsy and disability services.
Information & Referral
UCP recognizes that information is power. We offer information and referral services to the community on cerebral palsy and the services available to people with disabilities and their families.
Services
Information is provided and referrals are made for services appropriate to individuals who contact the agency. Follow-up services are also provided to ensure individuals successfully locate available programs and services. Resource materials are also available for loan through the community library. Staff offer in-service training to groups about cerebral palsy and services provided by our agency.
How Does It Work?
Individuals with disabilities and their families can access services by contacting the I&R Coordinator, who will research and answer questions, and direct callers to appropriate services. Background information and literature are often provided by mail. Follow-up calls ensure individuals successfully locate available programs and services.
Who Is Eligible?
Anyone! Individuals with disabilities, their families and the general public are welcome. There is no charge for I&R services.
Public Education & Resource Library
UCP staff are available to do presentations on cerebral palsy and present information to interested groups. UCP participates in local resource fairs and collaborative efforts with local agencies. We maintain a library of books on cerebral palsy available for check-out to the general public.
